This is a self-tie bow tie, so it must be tied by the wearer. (Tying a bow tie is different than a necktie, so if you're using these elegant bow ties for groomsmen attire make sure the guys can tie a bow tie. If not, we also offer this pattern in a pre-tied style.) This bow tie is made from silk. Sometimes silk is light and flowy, but this material is textured and thicker.

My initial order was shipped to me in poor condition. The tie had frayed loose fabric strands. After emailing tiemart about the issue, I was promptly responded to and sent a replacement.
