Update your look with this easy-to-use houndstooth zipper tie. Even though it's pre-tied, this tie looks just like a regular necktie when worn. Thus, it's a great option for group, uniform or individual wear. The classic black and white pattern is striking and just the right size—not too big or too small. Pair it with the matching pocket square (sold separately) or choose a solid color pocket square instead.

Detail time. This zipper tie is a standard men's length and width and made from durable, smooth-finish polyester. The tie is pre-tied and stays securely in place with a loop that goes around the neck. The loop easily expands thanks to a zipper hidden in the tie tail. Unzipping it expands the loop to fit over the head and zipping it back up secures the tie. (See our instructions below for more info on how to use a zipper tie.)

Instructions

Zipper ties are easy to use. First, the zipper must be released before wearing this tie. To do so, grasp the knot in one hand and, with your other hand, give a slight tug to each side of the neck loop to free the zipper. Repeat if necessary. Do not pull too hard, as this may break the zipper.

To wear the zipper tie, pull the loop wider (which moves the zippered tail up) to fit the tie over the head. Adjust the band under the collar, then pull down on the tail to tighten the tie and close the loop. To remove the tie, simply pull down on the knot and the loop will expand.

Rubbing the zipper with wax paper or candle wax will help keep the zipper tie working easily and smoothly.
