While this tie is sized for older elementary and middle school boys, you can mix and match tie styles among the entire student body with the matching bow ties, pre-tied ties and crossover ties.
This is a regular boys' tie that he must tie himself. (The 2.5-inch width is a traditional children's width.) The material is durable in a thick polyester with a matte finish you'd expect from a uniform tie.
Sizing
When tied, the tip of a necktie should hit at about the belt line. Typically, this length of tie will fit most children ages 8 to 13-years old. Since kids vary in size, you might want to do a quick measurement to ensure this tie is the best fit. Measure the child from the collar to the belt line. The length measured should be roughly between 14.5 and 17-inches long. Need a different size? For shorter lengths, try a pre-tied boys' tie. For longer lengths, consider a men's tie.
