Head back to school with this boys' blue plaid breakaway tie. This pattern is a classic in shades of blue, navy and white and we designed it to match your school colors. The two sizes are suited for elementary and middle school students, but you can mix tie styles among your student body with the matching neckties, bow ties and self-tie bow ties.
This is a pre-tied necktie and it's really easy to secure. There is a neck band with a plastic clip that should be unclasped, put around the neck and then secured. The tie gets the name "breakaway" because if it's yanked or grabbed too hard, the tie will come undone. We made the tie from heavyweight polyester for durability and it has a typical school uniform matte finish.
Sizing
The length of our boys' pre-tied ties refers to the length from the top of the tie knot down to the very tip of the tie. Use the sizes below based on age as a guide only. For best fit, we recommend measuring the child from the top of the collar to the belt line, which is about where the tip of a tie should hit. Select the length of tie that is closest to your measurement.
