Paddle-driven riverboat cruises are a staple of the river and provide locals and tourists alike with an opportunity to dine, unwind and learn about the historical aspects of the river. Thirty years later, the company has had four riverboats in its fleet, including its most recent addition: The Georgia Queen. This 1000-passenger vessel boasts three grand ballrooms with over 15,000-square feet of dining space and a 5000-square foot, fully open-air top deck.
It takes a large staff to run these boats. (The Georgia Queen can accommodate 200 crew members!) Captain Claughton prides his success in his good service, which includes a well-dressed crew.
